Overview: Golden Nugget Biloxi – “Sun & Stacks” Blackjack Tournament

After a brief announcement of this event was circulated, several BJTUSA subscribers asked whether additional information was available beyond the dates, times, and buy-in amounts. After speaking with Golden Nugget Biloxi marketing personnel, we are able to share the following information.
Important Note
Golden Nugget personnel were very helpful in providing information; however, they were operating without final tournament documentation, just as we are. Accordingly, all information below should be considered preliminary until official tournament rules are released.
Based upon our discussions and Golden Nugget’s previous blackjack tournaments, it appears that this event may follow a format similar to prior tournaments, with the primary differences being the Invitational component and the substantially higher buy-in amounts.

- Registration / Buy-In: 11:00 AM
- Buy-In: $400 (if positions remain available)
- Rebuys: $100 each

Promotional Chip Information
In previous Golden Nugget blackjack tournaments, promotional chip awards have sometimes been partially or fully convertible to free play. The $250 awards paid to places 7th through 36th have historically not been convertible. We have not been able to confirm the conversion policy for this tournament.

BJTUSA Observations
This appears to be primarily an Invitational tournament, with invited players receiving priority entry before any remaining positions are made available to the public.
While the reported field size is approximately 210 players, it is unknown how many positions, if any, will remain available after invited players have been accommodated. Members interested in playing should not assume that positions will be available at Friday or Saturday registration.
