Recently Released Details

Since this tournament series began development at Paragon Casino Resort in late 2022, the property has quietly and consistently shown up for Open Tournament Blackjack. The series has evolved thoughtfully — shaped by player-community input and by Paragon management’s committed, responsive work on the rules and format. The events have drawn solid participation from the BJTUSA community, and Paragon has stayed proactive, looking for practical ways to keep the experience welcoming, the weekends enjoyable, and the player base healthy.

New & Thoughtful Measures Have Been Added….

None of them are flashy. All of them are beneficial to the player. Together they reflect a property that understands what helps a tournament community grow and stay strong, and a management team willing to meet our players with real, concrete support.

$15 Nightly Resort Fee Offset

Paragon is providing a $15 nightly hotel resort fee offset with an equal-value player benefit. For each night of your stay, you will receive your choice of either $15 in free slot play- or- a $15 food comp. This benefit applies to Blackjack tournament participants on their own room reservations — whether the room is complimentary or paid at the discounted group rate.

Along with the increased $30,000 tournament purse and the free buy-in incentive for bringing in a new player, the resort fee offset offer above is another way that Paragon is working to make this event as player-friendly and valuable as possible.

Bring a New Player — Get a Free November Entry

In the November tournament, any returning participant who brings a new player — someone who has not previously competed in a Paragon tournament — will receive a free tournament entry.

Most of us know someone who has said, “I’ve always wanted to try a blackjack tournament.” This program gives returning players a simple way to open that door. It introduces a new player to the event, and it helps keep the field healthy and growing. At a minimum the returning player receives a free entry; if both prefer, the value can be shared. It is a practical, community-minded step that helps bring in new faces while supporting the events themselves.

November Purse Increased to $30,000

The November tournament purse has been raised from the earlier advertised $25,000 to $30,000.

Looking further ahead, Paragon has indicated that future purses will be tied to the performance of the prior event. If the prior tournament is deemed successful, a $25,000 purse can be increased to $30,000. It is a straightforward, performance-based approach and a clear recognition of the players who continue to show up.

These steps sit alongside the discounted group room rates Paragon has again made available. Booking details, including the group code and password, are in the Hotel Room Rates and Detailed Information section above.

We at Blackjack Tournaments USA sincerely appreciate Paragon Casino Resort for extending these incentives to our player community and for continuing to host quality open tournament events. We look forward to another strong November 7–8 tournament blackjack weekend in Marksville.

A Word of Appreciation

None of these good things happen in a vacuum. Successful open tournaments continue because players participate, properties support them, and the overall community keeps showing interest. Paragon has chosen to invest in that equation in concrete ways — the $15 nightly resort fee offset, the new-player incentive, the purse increase, and the continued group room rates. Those choices are noticed and appreciated.

For many in the BJTUSA community, a Paragon tournament weekend remains a comfortable and enjoyable stop on the calendar — good competition, familiar faces, and a destination that makes it easy to stay for the whole weekend.
