DESCRIPTION:$50\,000 Blackjack Tournament\nSEPTEMBER                                     19-22\, 2024\nThe Apache Casino Hotel will be hosting a $50\,000 Blackjack Tournament\, Thursday\, September 19\, 2024\, thru Sunday\, September 22\, 2024.\nSeptember 17 UPDATE….\nClarification has been requested on the following.  Phone consultation with the casino has verified the rule status\, as follows: \n\nQuestion Background:  The person asked for the clarifications because:  Many tournament rules in which each player’s total chip count at the end of each previous qualifying round is carried forward and becomes their starting chip count in their next round of play\, they sometimes allow for re-buys to be made just to attempt to improve on their chip count to carry forward.\n\n\nThat is not the case in this tournament.  Once a player has advanced from a round their final chip count will be their starting chip count in the next round of play.  No re-buys will be allowed for a player who has advanced from a round of play.\n\n2. Entry times: The rules stated that Thursday and Friday night play time reservations could be called in at the number shown in the rules below\, between September 1st and 16th.  The call in registration did not end on September 16th but all registrations are subject to open time slots being available at the time of the call. \nUPDATE……. Clarification on Thursday / Friday play. \nIn order to help players plan their travel schedule\, etc. and be assured of a seat in a preliminary round\, either Thursday OR Friday evenings\, early reservations can be made by calling the Blackjack pit directly at 580-354-1860 between September 1 and September 16.  At that time caller can get available open play times and reserve the time best suited to their schedule.  Preliminary rounds will be played at the following times: \nOn both Thursday\, September 19th and Friday\, September 20th: 5:00\, 5:45\, 6:30\, 7:15\, 8:00 & 8:45 PM \nRebuys will also be possible\, subject to availability. \nYou can give them your players club card number at that time if you have one but if you don’t\, you must go to the players club and get a card prior to your tournament play time.  \nTournament Rules\nThere will be 2 ways to be eligible to play.\n1.- You must be a member of the Players’ Club and have logged a minimum of 20 hours of Table Games play from August 5th\, 2024\, thru September 15\, 2024. Every 20 hours of play past the initial 20 hours will be given another 500 in tournament chips\, with a maximum of 100 hours. \n2.-You must be a member of the Players’ Club; you can enter the tournament with a $100 buy in for the initial 500 tournament chips. \nThe tournament will be limited to the first 168 entrants. The sign-up period will be from September 1st\, 2024\, until 11:59pm on September 16\, 2024. Players can sign up in person or call the BJ pit directly (580) 354-1860. Once we have 168 players signed up\, we will begin an alternate list. If you do not move on automatically\, you can re-buy in and play again if there are seats available. You can only use the hours earned on the first time playing. \nAlternate List\nThe first 168 players that sign up will be assigned a specific day\, table\, and seat number to play. If a player is not in the seat at their scheduled time\, we will replace them with someone from the alternate list. The player that was assigned to that particular seat will be automatically moved to the alternate list and then will have to wait for an available seat to participate. \nRound One\nThe 1st round will be held on Thursday\, September 19\, 2024\, and Friday\, September 20\, 2024. The start time for each day will be 5:00pm. \nAll players will be issued 500 in tournament chips to begin play (free of charge). Every player will have the option to purchase an additional 500 tournament chips for a fee of $50. This may be done only at the beginning of the round. Dealer appreciation – for a fee of $10 each player will receive 500 additional tournament chips. This is only available if the player purchased the 500 tournament chips for $50. \nThe 1st round will consist of 20 hands.  The minimum bet will be $25\, maximum bet will be $1\,000. \nThe 1st round will consist of a total of 20 tables with the top 3 finishers from each table advancing to the 2nd round. Also advancing to the 2nd round will be the 8 “wildcard” players that had the most chips out of everyone at the end of the 1st round that did not finish 1st or 2nd at their 1st round tables. \nThere will also be 2 more players advancing to the 2nd round. These players will be selected by a drawing that will be held at the conclusion of tournament play on Thursday and Friday.  1 player will be drawn from all the Thursday players that did not finish 1st\, 2nd or 3rd at their table and 1 player will be drawn from all the Friday players that did not finish 1st\, 2nd or 3rd at their table. Players must be present at drawing time to claim their seat. \nIn case of a tie\, there will be a series of playoff hands played to determine the winner. See the pit supervisor for more details. \nRound Two\nThe 2nd round will begin at 4:00pm on Saturday\, September 21\, 2024. It will consist of 10 tables of 7 players each. (70 players) All 2nd round players will begin the round with the chip total that they had at the end of the 1st round. All players will have the option to purchase an additional 2\,500 in tournament chips for a fee of $50 at the beginning of the round. Dealer appreciation- for a fee of $10 will receive 2500 additional tournament chips. This is only available if the player purchased the $50 additional chips. Once again\, all players will be assigned a specific time\, table number\, and seat number to play. \nThe 2nd round will consist of 20 hands.   The minimum bet will be $100\, maximum will be $5000. \nThe top 2 from each table in the 2nd round will advance to the Semi-Finals. Also advancing to the Semi-Finals will be the 7 “wildcard” players that had the most chips at the end of the 2nd round that did not finish 1st or 2nd at their table. There will also be 1 more player advancing to the SemiFinals. That player will be selected by a drawing that will be held at the conclusion of the 2nd round of tournament play. Only players from the 2nd round will be included in this drawing. \nSemi-Finals\nThe Semi-Finals will begin at 4pm on Sunday\, September 22\, 2024. It will consist of 4 tables of 7 players each. (28 players) All Semi-Final players will begin the round with the chip total that they had at the end of the 2nd round. All players will have the option to purchase an additional 5\,000 in tournament chips for a fee of $50 at the beginning of the round. Dealer appreciation- for a fee of $10 each player will receive 5\,000 additional chips\, if the initial $50 was purchased. \nThe Semi-Finals will consist of 25 hands.   The minimum bet will be $500\, maximum bet will be $10\,000. \nOnly the top finisher from each Semi-Final table will advance to the Finals along with 3 “wildcards”. The “wildcards” will be the players that had the most chips out of everyone at the end of the Semi-Finals that did not finish 1st at the Semi-Final tables. \nThe Finals\nThe Finals will be held at approximately 7:30pm on Sunday\, September 22nd\, 2024. \nThe Finals will consist of 30 hands. The minimum bet will be $500\, maximum bet will be UNLIMITED. \nPlay will begin at scheduled times. Players should plan on arriving at least 15 minutes prior to their schedules start time. \nDisclaimers: \n\nAll Apache Casino Hotel employees and immediate family members and members of household are prohibited from entering this promotion. Bets will be made from “First” to “Third” and may not be changed once made. Min. bet – 5 Max. bet – “No-Limit” Blackjacks will pay 2 to 1. \nNo Surrender. \nNo Insurance. \nSplits will only be allowed once. Double downs are allowed after splits. Aces only receives one card. “Coaching” will NOT be allowed. \nEnglish Only. \nAll Pit Supervisor’s decisions are based on fairness of the game and are final. \n*Management reserves the right to modify or cancel this tournament.
