DESCRIPTION:August 8\, 2026\nAfter a brief announcement of this event was circulated\, several BJTUSA subscribers asked whether additional information was available beyond the dates\, times\, and buy-in amounts. After speaking with Golden Nugget Biloxi marketing personnel\, we are able to share the following information. \nImportant Note\nGolden Nugget personnel were very helpful in providing information; however\, they were operating without final tournament documentation\, just as we are. Accordingly\, all information below should be considered preliminary until official tournament rules are released. \nBased upon our discussions and Golden Nugget’s previous blackjack tournaments\, it appears that this event may follow a format similar to prior tournaments\, with the primary differences being the Invitational component and the substantially higher buy-in amounts. \nTournament Overview\n\nTournament Name: Sun & Stacks Blackjack Tournament\nLocation: Golden Nugget Biloxi\nDate: Saturday\, August 8\, 2026\nStart Time: 12:00 Noon\nMaximum Field: Approximately 210 players\nFormat: Appears to be an Invitational tournament with invited players receiving priority entry\n\nRegistration / Buy-In\nFriday\, August 7 \n\nPetite Bois Ballroom\n6:00 PM – 8:00 PM\nBuy-In: $200 (if positions remain available)\n\nSaturday\, August 8 \n\nRegistration / Buy-In: 11:00 AM\nBuy-In: $400 (if positions remain available)\nRebuys: $100 each\n\nPrize Pool\nAdvertised as a $30\,000 Blackjack Tournament. \n\n\n\nPlace\nAward\n\n\n\n\n1st\n$10\,000 Cash\n\n\n2nd\n$5\,000 Promotional Chips\n\n\n3rd\n$3\,000 Promotional Chips\n\n\n4th\n$2\,000 Promotional Chips\n\n\n5th\n$1\,500 Promotional Chips\n\n\n6th\n$1\,000 Promotional Chips\n\n\n7th–36th\n$250 Promotional Chips\n\n\n\nPromotional Chip Information\nIn previous Golden Nugget blackjack tournaments\, promotional chip awards have sometimes been partially or fully convertible to free play. The $250 awards paid to places 7th through 36th have historically not been convertible. We have not been able to confirm the conversion policy for this tournament. \nReported Tournament Format\n(Based upon available information and prior Golden Nugget tournaments.) \n\nBelieved to be a 15-hand format\nCountdown after Hand #10\nNo maximum bet on any hand\n\nBJTUSA Observations\nThis appears to be primarily an Invitational tournament\, with invited players receiving priority entry before any remaining positions are made available to the public. \nWhile the reported field size is approximately 210 players\, it is unknown how many positions\, if any\, will remain available after invited players have been accommodated. Members interested in playing should not assume that positions will be available at Friday or Saturday registration. \nBJTUSA Advisory\nAnyone planning to attend should contact the casino directly to verify availability\, registration procedures\, and any tournament details that may have changed prior to the release of the official rules. \n  \n
