The Rules of Play\n\nBy participating in the tournament players agree to the rules brought forth by Paragon Casino Resort\nPlayers will pay entry fee and re-buy fees at the cashier’s cage.\nPlayers will bring the yellow ticket from the cashier to the tournament area.\nAll Paragon blackjack rules apply to the tournament play with the following exception:\n\nBlackjack pay 2 to 1\nAces can be split 3 times to make 4 hands\n\n\n\n\nRegistration will be Friday March 6\, 2026 from 5PM to 7:30 PM and Saturday March 7\, 2026 until the end of the Preliminary Rounds (tournament area will open at 10AM)\n\nFriday entry fee will be $125\nSaturday entry fee will be $150\n\n\nShould the player not advance in a previous preliminary round they have the option to re-buy.  There are two ways to re-buy back into the tournament\n\nPay $100 at the cashier booth.\n\n\nPlayers can earn a free buy-in and free re-buys by playing any table games from December 1\,2025 thru Feb 28\, 2026\n\nPlay 50 hours and get – A free buy in\nPlay 75 hours and get – A free buy in and 1 re-buy\nPlay 100 hours and get – A free buy in and 2 re-buys\nPlay 125 hours and get – A free buy in and 3 re-buys\n\n\nRe-buys are open until 6PM or when any round falls below 5 players\, subject to availability.\nOne Wild Card entry slip will be deposited into the Wild Card Entry drum for initial buy-in and an additional Wild Card Entry slip will be deposited for each re-buy.  Wild Cards drawn from the drum and either claimed or not claimed will be re-deposited into the drum.\nAll participants must arrive at the tournament area at least 10 minutes before the beginning of their assigned time to play.  All participants must check-in at their assigned table and seat.  Late (after round has begun play)\, participants will be penalized $100 in non-value tournament chips for every hand missed.   After the completion of the third (3rd) hand\, if the absent player has not been seated they shall be disqualified for that round.\nEach participant will receive $2\,500 in non-value tournament chips in every specific round.\nFor an extra $10 dealer appreciation fee\, the participant can receive an additional $500 in non-value tournament chips.  The dealer appreciation buy-in will be offered in every round except for the final round.\nNon-value tournament chips are not to be taken from the table.\nAll rounds will consist of:\n\n20 hands of blackjack\n Minimum bet of $25 and a maximum bet of $500.\n\nExcept:\n\nFinal round will be 25 hands and a maximum bet of $1\,000\nWild Card round which will be 15 hands.\n\n\n\n\nAll bets will be in $25 increments.\n\n\nThe dealer and/or tournament staff will make a countdown after hand 9 and again after hand 19.\nFor the final table a count will be done after hand 11 and after hand 24.\nFor the Wild card table\, a count will be done after hand 6 and after hand 14.\nThe tournament will be dealt from an eight-deck shoe.\nOnly one cut card will be used.  The dealer deals to the bottom of the 8-deck shoe\, if cards run out during a hand\, the dealer will shuffle the discarded cards to finish the hand.\nParticipants must play every hand.\nIf a participant is unable to bet the minimum $25 bet\, then that participant will be disqualified.\nIn the event of a tie\, each participant involved will receive $500 in chips\, the dealer will deal the next two cards from the shoe – the highest card position will determine the first player to act\, and there will be a five-hand playoff.  This will continue until a winner is determined.\nAll bets will be made left to right from the dealer button.  Participants are not allowed to change or alter any bet after it is placed in the betting area\, this includes when participants bet out of order.\nPlayers must be ready to bet when it is their turn.  There will be no more than thirty (30) seconds to place a bet and act on a hand.\nOnce a bet has been made\, it cannot be changed.\n\nNo string betting is permitted.  Bets must be slid into the circle\, highest denomination chip on the bottom to the lowest denomination chip on top.  If a player string bets\, the first chip to hit the felt inside the betting circle will be the player’s bet.\n\n\nBlackjack pays 2 to 1.\n\nIf the dealer also has a blackjack the players bet is a push.\nIf the dealer has an Ace up there is no insurance or even money offered.\n\n\nPlayers may split same -value cards\, including Aces\, up to four hands.\nDouble downs on splits are allowed except on split Aces which will get only one card each.\nSurrender\, insurance and even money are not offered for tournament play.\nOnly one wagering position per player.\nThe dealer button will determine where the dealer begins. DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT NOTE: \nThis event is designed for a minimum of 30 players but Paragon will allow it to be held if there are 25 players on site ready to play by 6:00 PM\, otherwise the event will be called off for the month. If there are 25 bought in at 6:00 PM\, others will be allowed to buy in until the firm deadline of 7:30 PM\, limited to availability of re-buys\, etc. \nMonthly Blackjack Tournament Rules \n ·       All Paragon blackjack rules apply to blackjack tournament play with the following   exception:  Blackjack pays 2 to 1 and player can split ACE’S 3 times to make 4 hands \n·       The tournament will be held between 6pm – 11pm first Wednesday of the month. \n·       The tournament will consist of two no more than three preliminary rounds (depending on participation)\, a semi-final round\, and a final round. \n·       If at any time the participation is less than thirty guests\, Table Games will cancel the tournament for that month. \n·       There is a $50 entry fee that guests will be able to pay at the cashier’s cage prior to the tournament. \n·       Buy-ins will end at 7:45 pm for the respective month’s tournament \n·       Once a guest buys-in to the tournament\, he/she will receive $2\,000 in tournament chips. \n·       There will be five tables and five players per table for the first three rounds. \n·       Winners will be determined by the amount of tournament chips players have at the end of 25 rounds of play. \n·       In case of a tie\, players involved in the tie will play two additional hands. \n·       The top two players with the highest chip count from each table per round for the first two or three (if applies)rounds will advance to the semi-final round. The play with the highest chip count off of each table in the semi-final round will move on to the final table \n·       Management will have a wild card drawing if needed to fill a round. \n·       Players will then draw for seat and table numbers for the final round. \n·       Players have the option to re-buy for $25 for the second and third round \n·       If the response is greater than expected\, then Table Games reserves the right to cancel the re-buy and let each guest play only one round. \n·       All players will bet in order. \n·       A button that will move from player spot one through player spot five will indicate this. \n·       The button will move to the dealer’s right one spot each hand. \n·       The dealer will deal the first hand to the player with the button. \n·       This will give the players the opportunity to play first and last hand during the round of play. \n·       All tournament chips must remain on the layout in front of the player in full view of the other players. \n·       The tournament will be dealt out of a six-deck shoe. \n·       Minimum bet is $25 and maximum bet is $500. \n·       All winnings will be rounded off and paid in chips after the final round. \n·       This tournament is subject to change or modification at any time and the interpretation of the rules\, eligibility\, and prize distribution is at the sole discretion of Paragon Casino Resort. \n·       Paragon Casino Resort Management will resolve any dispute or situation not covered by the official rules.Satisfactory resolution shall be in accordance with the Tribal-State Compact and Tunica-Biloxi Gaming Commission Rules and Regulations. \n·       In case of a tie\, players involved in the tie will play two additional hands. \n Prizes: \n·       All participants receive a free $20 meal coupon. \n·       A guaranteed $2\,000 prize\, Gaming will subsidize the difference if the $2\,000 is not reached. \n·       The prize structure is as follows: \n·       1st Place – 50% \n·       2nd Place – 17% \n·       3rd Place – 14% \n·       4th Place – 11% \n·       5th Place – 8%
